Celebration for the 2023 University Professors
President Gertler joined Chancellor Wilson, the Chair of the Governing Council, Shirley Hoy, Dean Ed Iacobucci and other University of Toronto dignitaries in celebrating the official opening of the Jackman Law Building. The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s Minister of International Trade and MP for University–Rosedale, attended and spoke on behalf of the federal government. In his remarks, the President paid tribute to alumni and corporate donors and to the Honourable Hal Jackman, Chancellor Emeritus, for making the building possible.
