Cities of Learning Symposium

President Gertler and colleagues from universities in North and South America took part in a Presidents’ Panel at the opening of a two-day Cities of Learning Symposium, organized and hosted by the University May 11-12, 2015. The Symposium, part of the University’s preparation for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, examined the relationships between universities and their host city-regions. The other panellists represented universities located in past Pan Am host cities: Gabriel Capitelli, Secretary of International Relations, University of Buenos Aires; Robert J. Zimmer, President of the University of Chicago; and Marco Antonio Zago, President of the University of São Paolo.
