Celebration for the 2023 University Professors
Dr. Ilse Treurnicht received the degree Doctor of Laws, honoris causa. A leader in Canada’s innovation and entrepreneurship community, she serves as a key adviser to the federal government on economic growth and innovation. A former CEO of MaRS Discovery District, she led the transformation of the organization into one of the world’s largest innovation hubs, and has been instrumental in developing the University’s partnership with MaRS.
