Celebration for the 2023 University Professors
Jeanne Lamon, Music Director of Tafelmusik from 1981 to 2014 and an adjunct faculty member in the Faculty of Music, received the degree Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, for her virtuosity as a violinist and her remarkable 33-year tenure at the helm of one of Canada’s most successful international performing arts organizations, during which Tafelmusik was recognized as one of the world’s leading Baroque orchestras.
