Celebration for the 2023 University Professors
President Gertler sat down for a Q&A with Marina Jimenez, Global Media Relations Strategist at University of Toronto Communications, as one part of the first-ever professional development conference for U of T staff members involved in event planning. Stewart Wheeler, Chief of Protocol of Canada, delivered the keynotes address. The conference, dubbed The Main Event, was organized by the President’s Office. It follows the establishment last year of the U of T Event Professionals Group, which is intended to serve as a network for sharing best practices and to foster community and collaboration among events staff across the University.
