The 2017 Annual Report of the President’s Advisory Committee on the Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainability

Note from President Gertler

The Committee on the Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainability (CECCS) was struck in February 27, 2017, after being first proposed in my report Beyond Divestment: Taking Decisive Action on Climate Change.

The Committee’s mandate is to identify ways to advance the University’s contributions to meeting the challenges of climate change and sustainability, with a particular focus on research and innovation, teaching, and University operations.

I am pleased to share the Committee’s first annual report, outlining activities undertaken in its first three months of operation. I would also like to thank committee members for a productive start.
